Agro Mechanical Faculty
The agro mechanical faculty as well as the University was founded in 1954. It is a leading educational scientific subdivision of the University. Specialists with innovative thinking and developed leadership qualities are trained here. The students can carry out technological, administrative, research, scientific and educational work in the field of designing, technical service and maintenance of automobile and tractor park. They get fundamental knowledge in the field of technical sciences, humanities, foreign economy and languages, management of agricultural enterprises.
About 20000 agro engineering specialists have been prepared at the faculty. The graduates are in great demand.
The teaching staff of the faculty is represented by highly qualified specialists with pedagogical, practical and scientific experience. Innovative methods of education are used in teaching process. High-level specialists' training is provided at 11 chairs.
The logistical basis of the faculty meets all modern requirements of scientific progress and engineering specialists' training. There are affiliated chairs at the leading enterprises of the country. Their main purpose is integration of education, science and production while preparing practically oriented specialists in agri-business.
The students undergo an industrial practical training at advanced farm enterprises. Besides they have opportunities to be trained abroad (Germany, Holland, Great Britain and Switzerland).

Agro-power faculty
The agro-power faculty is a unique faculty in the Republic of Belarus that trains skilled specialists in the field of agribusiness power engineering.
The faculty was founded in 1957. More than 15000 specialists have graduated from the faculty since that time.
There are 9 chairs and 44 training laboratories at the faculty. The faculty provides all necessary facilities for teaching process: educational methodical complexes, on-line textbooks, educational and methodical literature for lab and practical classes. Innovative educational technologies are used during the whole educational process. More than 100 highly qualified teachers, professors and associate professors make up the staff of the faculty.
The scientific results on up-to-date directions of electrification and automatization in agriculture are used in educational process. The students are taught how to increase reliability of power supply of rural users, to optimize electrical equipment, to apply alternative energy sources, to improve and design new power saving technologies.
The educational process is closely integrated with business. The students have practical training to improve their professional skills. Some of the chairs have their subdivisions at industrial enterprises and research institutions.
Besides, the students of the faculty have possibilities to be trained abroad (Germany, Holland, Great Britain, and Switzerland).

Farm machinery service faculty
The farm machinery service faculty is a unique faculty in the Republic of Belarus that trains qualified engineers and engineers-managers for agro-technical service. The faculty was founded in 2000.
The faculty consists of 7 chairs. More than 120 highly qualified teachers, professors and associate professors work at the faculty.
The faculty has modern material and technical basis: research laboratories equipped with diagnostic, scientific and technological equipment, workshops for students' training practice, classrooms, computer classes.
Currently, about 850 students are trained at the faculty. Among them there are citizens of foreign countries such as Turkmenistan, Lebanon, Nigeria, Iraq, Iran and others.
The graduates of the faculty are prepared to work in the sphere of technology and means of maintenance, diagnosis and repair of machines; management processes of the organization and planning of the logistical support, logistics agro services. They can work at agricultural, agro service enterprises, dealerstechnical centers of manufacturing plants, logistics centers, research organizations and etc. The graduates also have an opportunity to continue their education on postgraduate courses.
Besides, the students of the faculty have possibilities to undergo practice abroad on farms of Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Great Britain, and other countries.

Agronomical faculty The Agronomical Faculty was founded in 1951 and today it is one of the oldest departments of the University..
There are two specialties at the Faculty:1 – 74 02 01 – «Agronomy», qualification – agronomist, period of studying is 4 years and 6 months. The period of studying according to the uninterrupted integrated educational system is 2 years and 6 months.Specialists can work in agro industrial sector,at enterprises of processing of plant crop production in scientific research institutions.
1–74 02 04 – «Horticulture» qualification: agronomist. The students of this specialty can study only according to the uninterrupted integrated educational system. Period of studying is 2 years10 months.The graduates can work at agro industrial sector, at agricultural companies, industrial and scientific-production associations, farming cooperatives, farms, research institutionsMore than 11,700 experts have already graduated from the faculty; among them are many leading scientists and teachers, agricultural enterprises managers and directors. The Faculty has the very modern base for both theoretical and practical training and for scientific research conducting. Practical training of students is carried out in the advanced agricultural enterprises of the republic, research institutes, experimental stations and farms of Belarus, Germany and Poland. Theoretical and practical training are skillfully integrated. This fact allows the University to train highly skilled agronomy experts that meet the needs of modern agriculture.
Graduates of the faculty have the opportunity to undertake the one-year magistracy course in "Agronomy" and postgraduate course in "Agrochemistry" or "Plant Breeding and Seed Production."
Faculty of plant protection the Faculty trains students in two specialities:

The Faculty trains about 350 students every year: it offers both free of charge and fee-paying education.In 2002 the Faculty opened the postgraduate study in "Plant Protection" and since 2005 it has been training masters in "Agronomy".The Faculty provides well-equipped teaching, organizes various kinds of practical work (fact-finding, educational, technological, industrial, pre-degree), holds scientific, scientific and practical conferences, carries out soil expeditions and excursions, public presentation reports on industrial practice and traineeships.Lecture-halls and university laboratories where theoretical studies take place are well-equipped and have all the most modern devices..
Veterinary Medicine faculty
Education is provided in the specialty :1-74 03 02 "Veterinary Medicine"
Qualification: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Duration of training: 5 years
There are three veterinarian clinics and a research laboratory with all modern equipment at the Faculty. Faculty students have a unique opportunity to consolidate theoretical and practical skills, to develop new technologies in agricultural production, animal husbandry and veterinary experimental farm "Progress Vertelishki", subsidary branches of the university chairs, in the processing plants and farms. The Faculty established scientific cooperation with Poland: Warmia and Mazury University, Warsaw Agrarian University and with the Physical Chemistry Department, Lodz Institute of Chemistry; in Lithuania: the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy in Kaunas; Bulgaria: the Research Institute of Animal Husbandry in Kastinbrod; Russia: Kaliningrad State Technical University, St. Petersburg Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Moscow Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. The Veterinary Faculty conducts research projects with the Educational Establishments "Belarusian State Agricultural Academy" in Gorki, "Vitebsk State Medical University", "Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine", the Institute of Microbiology in Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine of Vyshelesski S.N. in Minsk, etc.
The Veterinary Faculty staff conducts diversified scientific research, which resulted in a whole series of the prevention and treatment drugs for farm animals. The Faculty work priority is the creation of microbiological synthesis preparations to be used in immunocorrection growth and development stimulation, in prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in young farm animals and poultry.Special attention is given to the educational and ideological work with the students. Educational activities at the faculty are presented by labor education, moral education, by socio-psychological adaptation of students, environmental education, by formation civic mindedness
Engineering and Technology faculty
The Faculty trains the students in the following specialties:
1-49 01 01 "Technology of storage and processing of food raw materials» (specialization 1-49 01 01 01 "Technology of storage and grain processing" and 1-49 01 01 02 "Technology of bread, pasta, pastry and concentrate production");
1-49 01 02 "Technology of storage and raw animal material" (specialization 1-49 01 02 01 "Technology of meat and meat products" and 1-49 01 02 02 "Technology of milk and milk products").
The students can get High Education in two forms of Education: full – time and part-time Course.

Students have manufacturing practice on the leading farms of agro-industry complexes, which are confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus.

- Labour Protection in Agriculture with qualification obtained ''Labour Protection Specialist'';
2. Professional development of the managerial staff and specialists of regional food and agricultural organizations, service enterprises, processing plants of the agro-industrial complex oriented towards innovative development of industry.
3. Practice of the managerial staff and specialists in agribusiness.
Training at the Institute is provided by highly-qualified teaching staff. Quite frequently the Institute conducts practical classes at the agro-industrial complex enterprises, processing plants, farm machinery manufacturing plants, laboratories of the Scientific Practical Center and introduces to its trainees the new developments of the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry and State Standard of the Republic of Belarus. Different International and Republican exhibitions are also visited during the training period.
A modern educational and technical basis is at the disposal of the Institute. It also makes use of the bases of the specialized chairs of Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, the Republican educational center of practical training, research laboratories, affiliated chairs of the University at the research institutions, industrial and agricultural enterprises .Professional development and retraining institute in agribusiness develops educational services export. Period association contracts with the educational establishments of Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries are made.

The University campus consists of 6 university buildings, 9 hostels and the University youth center. At the students’ disposal there is a library, reading halls, a first-aid post, a stadium and various sports grounds. The university canteen and some cafes are ready to offer delicious meals.
Special attention is given to sport at the University. The University has one of the best sport bases in the Republic. It is possible to do 19 kinds of sports here. A modern sport base, good organization and active involvement of the students in sport and health-improving activity contribute to popularity of sport at the University, preparation of healthy strong advanced specialists of the agro-industrial complex. The University is proud of its Olympic and world champions.
